under the American Rescue Plan between state and federal payments.

How much money you can get under Biden's plan if you're unemployed

Biden's $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package extends enhanced unemployment benefits until Sept. 6, for $300 more per week on top of what your state pays. That's down from the $400 federal bonus proposed in an earlier version of the bill, and down also from the $600 per week extended in the CARES Act.

The period between March 14 and Sept. 6 spans 25 weeks. If the payments were to pick up immediately, that's $7,500 extra in federal unemployment insurance that you could count on, in addition to your state's check amount.

7. Adjusted for inflation the minimum wage when I was

16 of $1.25 would be $10.80 today. I started in a steel mill
at $2.10 an hour when I got out of the army. That would be $17.10 today. I thought I was rich at $84 a week back then that's inflation. Bought a new 1971 Chevy Nava for $3400
loaded radio, heater, ps, V8 and auto.

You could work a summer job and have enough to buy a nice car 2-3 years old, my husband did, he worked summers at a box factory while going to college. This would be the late sixties.
