👍🤞
Just a little more pressure this time, with a mild ache that went away. Swinging arm.
Then we see what happens.
Update: So far, so good...
I used Arnica Montana cream last night, when I got up.
May arm gets a 1 (lowest) only when I'm lifting it near shoulder length.
I got up to a 3 for a few hours on shot 1 w/o the cream.
No other symptoms. Now almost 30 hrs past injection.

(26,579 posts)more than 24 hours later. Yesterday eve, I developed chills and a feverish feeling with some body aches, that lasted most of the way through the night. I'm feeling okay now, just tired.
Good luck.

(4,897 posts)Started feeling tired after 8-9 hours, like I hadn't slept well the previous night.
The next morning was when I got hit with the body aches and fatigue. Later that day, I got the low grade fever. It took about 3 days before I felt normal.
Stay hydrated.

(402 posts)to feel kinda crappy with a bit of a headache. Then it warmed up outside and I said to myself, f it, I'm going for a motorcycle ride. And then I felt better. YMMV

(3,465 posts)On Tuesday I was totally wiped out with a slight fever. Took a long nap Tuesday afternoon and went to bed early that night.
Wednesday I woke up feeling totally OK. My arm was still sore but that has now gone away, it's Friday.
Went to a Pilates class on Wednesday afternoon and went for an hour long walk in 90+ degrees temp on Thursday afternoon.
So, just one day of a reaction from the 2nd shot! And now I am fully vaxed and ready to rumble!

(14,118 posts)me though I accept other people identifying tiredness/napping as a side-effect. At first I
felt some pressure at the vaccine site but a little vaccine arm exercise took care of that.
One interesting thing I noticed this morning is that my vision is a little sharper and it still
is this afternoon. (Usually I have to put on my reading glasses to see my log-in notes
for various websites. But not today!) If that's a vax side-effect I'll take it! Otherwise
everything is just fine.
Go! Go! Get your vax! Then you'll be set if covid attacks.

(14,863 posts)Sharper sight? Interesting! Even if temporary you should report that!
NOT heard of that at all !
In fact I never did the reporting in for gov stats. I should do that! 👍

(12,376 posts)four weeks after last Moderna vaccine. I WISH it was a slighty sore arm like I had with both Covid shots. This one feels like I got pounded by Ali and he KOd me in one round. Hurts like a bear to lift my arm!

(12,376 posts)It sort of climaxed and then after I walked around a bit and stretched and moved it, not quite so sore and heavy. And of course the chocolate helped.
electric_blue68
(14,863 posts)Well, we all know chocolate fixes everything,
or just about! 👍

(11,587 posts)I had the same symptoms as you with my 2nd Pfizer shot.

(14,863 posts)I know one person who had fairly nasty effects soon after their 2nd shot (don't know which). I know they're not in the majority.
Another 12+ hrs - we'll see. Got mine just after 4pm.
Instead of a Tylenol tonight which my vaccinator suggested - I have arnica cream which I'll put on. 👍
electric_blue68
(14,863 posts)almostly certainly free from nasty side effects!
Just a tad ache on arm lifting from a 1 (least) to a 1/2.
Probably all gone Mon Eve.
While bringing some pizza home on this sunny day in NYC I "Woooooo"ed it crossing the street in relief. 😄
May 14 will be my vac full effect day.
Emotionally I'll probably feel like throwing a block party! 😀 🎉🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈 🎉🎉💖
Of course I'll continue all stated CDC precautions. 👍
The best of GOOD LUCK to all DU'ers/your families/good friends still waiting to get your first, second, or only shot. 👍

I'm young, healthy, and I rarely even get a cold so I suspect I have a particularly robust immune system.

(14,863 posts)still pretty robust.
I'm 68, never taken the flu shot, and haven't had
the flu in about 51 yrs when I was in HS. And I live in a big city, always (well, not the past 13+ months) out and about.
However I will be getting the flu shot later this year. 👍
