Trump allies are growing increasingly concerned about the future after former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's office and apartment were raided by federal agents this week, according to CNN.
On Wednesday, Giuliani, who acted as Trump's former attorney, was the target of two raids in which investigators seized several of his electronic devices as well as a computer belonging to his personal assistant. The searches were in connection to a criminal probe into Giuliani's dealings in Ukraine, The New York Times reported.
Trump's allies and former members of his inner circle are now reportedly becoming increasingly worried about further raids and upcoming FBI investigations.
"This was a show of force that sent a strong message to a lot of people in Trump's world that other things may be coming down the pipeline," an advisor to the former president, who wished to stay anonymous, told CNN.

(9,944 posts)... so tired of the investigations into the "missing" emails and the "real" birth certificate. If you want to find crime, investigate the criminals! Trump and Co. are the places to look.

(63,221 posts)They committed their very conspicous crimes right out in the light of day and practically boasted about them. How is it that they are having such a hard time putting the screws to these thugs?
Doesn't the law mean anything anymore?

(32,599 posts)In the early stages of an investigation, they look for the opportunity to get somebody to snitch and tell what they know. After one person starts talking, they all want to talk and avoid prison. However getting the first one is usually the hardest, after that the FBI investigators don't have to work too hard. It really looks like they've had their sights on Rudy for a long time, most likely they think he'll tell what he knows.

(63,221 posts)probably guiltier of more things that we can even imagine.
All it takes is one conviction to send them to prison. Like Al Capone. Everyone knows he was guilty of a multitude of crimes, but they nailed him for tax-evasion. As long as they get these guys - and ladies - on something. As long as it sticks.
