Anyone else notice that the toxic negativity has diminished here

?

There was a time for a while there when we had a lot of tourists to DU that were really nasty and rude.

It’s gotten better, hasn’t it? It seems to have done.

I don’t post nearly as much as I used to but I read DU every day, several times a day. I have to say it’s so much more pleasant atmosphere lately. Thanks for that DUers.

It's great to not worry all the time about what our president is going to do, isn't it.

I haven't had anyone tell me lately that for supporting Democrats on a forum for supporting Democrats that I'm stupid, have Stockholm syndrome, must be paid by David Brock, a wealthy old conservative, all my links are right-wing. It's nice!

Give me a list of Republican/Nazis who ditch their people who abuse children/women. (Crickets). I hope my accurately engenders well defined 'toxicity'.

but find some people posting to the original post are not writing about it so much as putting down other people who are posting. They are not being civil. People posting on DU should always be civil to other posters. If you just can't put up with someone making stupid remarks just "ignore" them. I have never used "alert" and if someone disagrees with me using facts or logic I am fine with it. If all they do is put me down then I "ignore" them. In high school, we were taught how to use the Socratic Method. I know I should still use it but I am not very good at it.
