Caitlyn Jenner: California needs a 'thoughtful disruptor'

Olympic gold medalist and reality television star Caitlyn Jenner, who is running for governor of California, released a campaign ad on Tuesday branding herself as a “thoughtful disruptor.”

“The American Dream grew up here. Yet, career politicians and their policies have destroyed that dream. It’s been locked away, closed, shuttered, left in the dark, burned down,” Jenner said.

“The government is now involved in every part of our lives. They’ve taken our money, our jobs, and our freedom. California needs a disruptor—a thoughtful disruptor,” she continued.

Jumping into politics... going straight for big offices like governor, president etc without doing any time at in lower level political offices. I don't think it is a good idea because these folks tend to not know what they are doing and what they are getting into.

It must be nice to be wealthy enough that you aren't discriminated against by your own party for being trans or for causing an accident that kills someone. So they can use her as a weapon against other trans people. It's no coincidence that the first position she's taken since declaring has been to side with the QOP on "trans athletes ruining girls' sports!"

I've seen this shit before. A decade ago, when the big wedge issue for the QOP culture war was attacking and opposing marriage equality. Anytime some LGBTQ would give us the "I'm more worried about the economy than marriage" or "I'm gay and I don't care about getting married", the bigots would beat us over the head with their quotes, saying "See? Your fellow gays don't care. Quit asking for special treatment!"

So, now with the QOP in full-on attack mode on the trans community, it's time for more of the same. Truthfully, they don't give a damn whether or not Jenner wins or loses. They probably, truthfully, prefer she loses - unless she is the only hope in hell of defeating Newsom. But thanks to her diarrhea of the mouth and camera addiction, she can be counted on to repeatedly attack Any Trans Person Not Named Caitlyn Jenner. And when she does, the fascist bigots will smugly point to her and say "See? She doesn't think trans people deserve that. Quit asking for special treatment!"
