A process/construction question (regarding the Justice Dept)

If the Dept is actually 'kinda-sorta' supposed to function 'independently' of the current Administration,

Should CONGRESS appoint the Attorney General, with the approval of the elected President?

Should the script be switched regarding an agency that is SUPPOSED TO BE quite a bit more independent in its action than the rest of the Cabinet?

I'm not asking if its POSSIBLE. Im asking if y'all think it would make for a better system.

If yes or no, why?

who aren't corrupt don't do corrupt things. Usually. Things are working pretty good right now and the absence of corruption at the top is why.

If we'd put all the reTHUG Fascist Insurrectionists in jail RIGHT NOW we'd have a much
better and sustainable system.
