He not only is trying to corrupt the legal process to win his election, if this is allowed he'll corrupt all republican.s getting elected. Just like putins done in Russia, where only the most corrupt are allowed to win. Then as he promoted more corrupt actions, those refusing to go along are replaced with more corrupt people. He wants absolute power to control elections, and force out those who are against corruption at his level, and if given the chance he'll escalate calling for more violence.

He will use it to control all elections, and to eliminate those not corrupt enough , like Putin did. His money making scams will never stop. He wants absolute power, and is trying bot corruptly get it again, or threaten violence.

The exposure of corruption of the Republican Party must be daily news for the next four years. The pussy whipped media needs to grow a set of balls and call a spade a spade.

(21,303 posts)I fear that just by gerrymandering that the GQP can gain back the House. If Democrats can't pass their fairness election bill we could face an autocracy, minority rule. Democrats must understand that we are not living in normal times, they need to fight fire with fire. We have a leader in the House who understands; nuff said or I will get in trouble.

(11,730 posts)There is no person, in history, in any country, that rose to power all by themselves. People talk about Hitler's rise to power, but he would have remained a failed artist in Vienna if he did not have the backing of other people who were wiling to do dirt for him.
Trump is actually a moron. His talent is convincing others to be dirty with him and for him. He is a con artist who really can't think his way out of a paper bag, but he can grift and lie and make people feel good and strong.
Without the support of people like Pence, Nunes, McConnell, McCarthy, Cruz, Paul, Barr, and multiple others, Trump would be insignificant. There is an entire system of power behind Trump. Sure, they are just using him to maintain their own power, but when you enter into pacts like this, your fate is intertwined and you think you can separate at anytime, but you can't.
The Republican party is trying to consolidate power because they know they do not have the support of the majority of people, but they also know that there is apathy within the majority and they are counting on that to win with smaller numbers.

We need to stop giving that buffoon so much energy, we need to stop talking about him, ignore what he does and says and let the courts take care of him.

(21,303 posts)Look around at the states that are Republican controlled, look at what they are doing. I just voted by mail in Pa. that is controlled by Republicans but we have a Democratic governor. Republicans had 2 ballot initiatives that will weaken the power of the governor. Pa. is gerrymandered, a Democrat will never be elected in my district. Every election Democrats get more votes and Republicans gain seats. Republicans in Pa. know that they will control the legislature so they are giving themselves more power. Other states are doing the same or worse that Pa. is doing.

(6,818 posts)We are already 1/4 they way to the next mid-term elections. Every gain for the QOP in November 2022 is a nail in the coffin of our democracy. Federal legislation which could ensure Democratic victories by literally saving the country is being challenged on every front. Hell, they're making up fronts to fight us on. Every time we are at bat and fail to hit a home run, we lose. We DO NOT have any tolerance for losing anything lest we lose everything.
If, for a moment, we can set aside our real concerns about an impending civil war, we may be able to win this thing without one. It will require a solidity of purpose on the part of all progressives. For the sake of clarity we may accurately refer to them as the rational ones. It's time to set aside the individualism and idiosyncrasy for which we are both proud and famous but which retains not a single ally nor creates a single new supporter.
The skin of our teeth by which we claimed the last election was the thickness of Trump's unpopularity. UNFORTUNATELY, we won't have Trump to run against in 2022. The outrage we WILL fight is slightly more palatable than that odious creature. To many "swing voters" and ALL low-info voters, WE are the threat to democracy. It's not for nothing that the ideal of higher education has been gutted these last 40 years, remaining unattainable, unaffordable for many. The less exposed to critical thinking a voter is, the more likely they are to vote QOP.
2022 is the deal clincher for these shitheads. If they gain, they have won. We must solidly retain the House and gain as many seats in the Senate as is possible. Those goals are attainable only through unity and the allure that unity may present for the unaffiliated voter. Clean up and dress accordingly. Wear clean underwear, fix your makeup and check for perspiration stains prior to waving your arms.

Imagine if Obama had done this? I wonder what would be said then. Our party better start trying to pass that HR1 and offer Machin the sun, moon, and stars to get him to reform the FB because it has to go.If not, we will lose out experiment that worked for a long time.It is time people need to wake up to this. (21,303 posts)I have not really thought this out but I am leaning to doing it. It will shine a light on what is at stake.
Democrats in the House and Senate need to hold a press conference in prime time and make the statement that they will not negotiate with "Republicans" who fail to admit that Joe Biden won the election.
I get so tired of "Republicans" controlling the narrative, the freaking MSM goes out of its way to give equal time to lies, to dangerous lies. This is not a far fetched idea IMO because Democrats can use our national security as a reason for not recognizing "Republicans" who back the Big Lie.
What do you think? This needs to be done because it is going to get a lot worse when Facebook makes its decision today.
