Police Arrest 16-Year-Old Girl Protesting Mom’s Lay-Off From Bain-Owned Company

http://www.democracynow.org/2012/10/10/as_bain_ships_jobs_to_china

Police have arrested three people for blocking the removal of equipment from the Sensata Technologies plant in Freeport, Illinois. Workers at Sensata have set up an encampment called "Bainport" across the street from the facility to protest plans by Bain Capital to close the plant and move operations to China, taking 170 jobs with it. Sensata is owned by Bain Capital, the private equity firm co-founded by Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. We hear from two of the detained protesters: Karri Penniston, 16, whose mother works at Sensata, and Debi Kempel, a Bainport supporter from nearby Pearl City.

How much of a tax hit will Freeport take from the loss of the plant and it's jobs?

and Bain bragged some years ago about the fact that Chinese labor then cost 50 cents an hour and that young "girls" (he meant women in their early twenties) worked long hours. Think of that. A capitalists' wet dream -- 10 hours of work from young, obedient women for only $5.

Who cares about experience? Who cares about America? The profit a company like Bain can take by exploiting young women in China is hard to pass up.

It's called greed, ugly, ugly greed -- one of the seven sins -- and it's what Romney and Bain and their ilk are about. Greed. Greed. Greed. Making money for themselves if the children of other Americans have to die so they can make it.

The wage in China may have risen since the video of Romney was made, but not by much.

If you don't know what video it is, it's the 47% video. Watch it if you haven't already. It explains Romney's whole mindset. You see the real Romney.

Absent specific laws forbidding the outsourcing of jobs, tariffs are the tool that was used by countries (including the US since it's founding) for protectionism (which is a good thing, despite the negative connotations it has acquired), until the recent free trade craze which is at the root of all the job loss.

legislation that would penalize companies that ship jobs overseas and give tax breaks for staying here.

If that's not the case then it's not a job agreement.

It's a plant shipping job overseas being made easier by trade agreements signed by the former administration and this one under Obama.

Blackstone Capital owns Seaworld, Universal studios, Leggoworld, Hilton Hotlels, Marriott Residence and more....

Blackstone Management is well known for their abuse of employees.. they pay minimum wage for MILLIONS of jobs.. and demand much more.

Google Blackstone and be amazed at what they own and how little they pay employees.

They just need to justify their jobs.

president he'll create millions of jobs out of thin air.

What's his plan? Will it be, he'll bring back the jobs he outsourced to China?

The workers in the US need to wake the fuck up!
