hat's it in a nutshell. History will record that when they had a chance to save America, as the folks in GA did, W.VA. voters chose to obstruct the best chance to save it by pushing Manchin to support Trump.

They turned on Democrats for not doing anything for WV when Senator Byrd brought in billions for the state.
They mocked Senator Byrd calling him Senator KKK Byrd then voted for Trump.

minimum wage, Joe's infrastructure plan, and bringing broad band into the state will help but the
problems there are deep and Manchin and his daughter are part of the problem too.
Joe is milking his current position of power for all it is worth.

(70,582 posts)... coal was voting against their own best economic interests. Even the miners and their families
know that coal is dying but they took comfort in Trump's lies.
Now, guns, jeez-US, gays (now trans people), racism, sexism, anti education, and distrust
of outsiders are seen and felt to the core of their being as being in their own best interests.
These are some of the reasons why so many young people leave W.V.
BTW drugs have ravaged many small town and rural areas of W.V..
