The Queen's first cousin used his 'royal status' to sell access to Putin's regime for $14,000 a day,

Prince Michael of Kent allegedly used his status as a royal to sell access to the Kremlin, according to a joint investigation by The Sunday Times and Channel 4's Dispatches.

He is accused of selling access to Russia's Vladimir Putin for large sums of money and offering up his Kensington Palace home as a backdrop for a royal endorsement, the investigation said.

Queen Elizabeth II's first cousin was filmed during a Zoom meeting with undercover reporters who posed as businesspeople from a fictitious South Korean company. The undercover reporters claimed they were working for a gold investment company that was seeking access to contacts in Putin's regime to further its business in Russia, The Sunday Times reported.

The prince assured them that his connections in Russia could "bring some benefit" to them and raised the fact that Putin had awarded him the prestigious Order of Friendship medal in 2009, the paper said.

Didn't know Pooty was so popular. Trump would have done it for $1000 a day.

She's and her family are bigger grifters than the Trumps. They're mobsters that steal from the poor. And she would get in bed with Putin (figuratively) at the drop of a hat if it meant profit.

She got her royal hands dirty on truck engines.

So, Trump would call her a "sucker" for serving.

And, the Queen would call the Trumps' grifting "chump change".

PRINCE MICHAEL, COUSIN OF QUEEN ELIZABETH SELLING ACCESS TO *PUTIN* GOVERNMENT DESPITE SANCTIONS.
Not selling access to the Queen. To *Putin.* Strap in.  https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/facf7912-b00c-11eb-b844-593e41a4a1a5?shareToken=50da9bab4d423541b1cef36806fbc8e8 …
Prince Michael, sitting in Kensington Palace out of which he sells access TO the Russian regime, thought he was talking to a South Korean firm about investments in gold on a Zoom call.He was talking to two reporters.

What follows suggests grave questions about the Monarchy.
Prince Michael was awarded the Russian Order of Friendship by "Putin's Puppet" President Medvedev.
(This is the same "honor" given to Rex Tillerson.)

His father, Prince George of Kent, did die in a plane crash in 1942.

From Wikipedia:

"Prince George served in the Royal Navy in the 1920s and then briefly as a civil servant. He became Duke of Kent in 1934. In the late 1930s he served as an RAF officer, initially as a staff officer at RAF Training Command and then, from July 1941, as a staff officer in the Welfare Section of the RAF Inspector General's Staff. He was killed in a military air-crash on 25 August 1942."

snip

"On 25 August 1942, George and 14 others took off in a RAF Short Sunderland flying boat W4026 from Invergordon, Ross and Cromarty, to fly to Iceland on non-operational duties. The aircraft crashed on Eagle's Rock, a hillside near Dunbeath, Caithness, Scotland. All but one were killed, including George, who was 39 years old.

"Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince have written about the crash in their book Double Standards, which, however, has been criticised for its "implausible inaccuracy". They alleged that Kent had a briefcase full of 100 krona notes, worthless in Iceland, handcuffed to his wrist, leading to speculation the flight was a military mission to Sweden, the only place where krona notes were of value.

"His death in RAF service marked the first time in more than 450 years that a member of the royal family died on active service."

I read about him in Deborah Cadbury’s Princes at War. She includes the briefcase story and points out that the plane was going the wrong direction if it was headed to Iceland. And Michael was a wild prince, closer to the banished King Edward (Hitler sympathizer) than King George, who kept trying or hoping to reform him. So anything seemed believable.

So maybe the son is trotting along after his father.

I am not surprised.

A lot of aristocrats and royals were Nazi sympathizers,
and the fact that the UK still has a royal family grifting
off the country's weird fantasy about monarchy speaks
volumes for where Britain is now... not unlike America
of course (with billionaires and pedophiles and racists).

George Bush is a distant cousin to Queen Elizabeth...and all of the Royal Family. In fact, 42 of the first 43 Presidents were all descendants of King John, who signed the Magna Carta, the odd man out being Van Buren.

Apparently, it's statistically unlikely that any of them wouldn't share branches of lineage. A genealogist at the University of Durham said that anyone of Anglo-Saxon descent is more than 95% likely to have descended from John Lackland in some way.

There's a smaller, but still very real, chance that you might be distantly related to Genghis Khan.

if you go back far enough, we are all related to a single woman who lived, probably in Africa or the Middle East, about 200,000 years ago.

And, we are probably all related to a single man although that cannot be proven with the available evidence.

I wonder if everyone was aware of (and believed) the fact, would race relations be different than now.

BTW, I don't think the original homo sapien progenitor was Lucy as it is of course known where Lucy was discovered and, the chances of finding the remains of any one early human would be vanishingly small.

There was an article some years ago about very well-preserved remains found in Cheddar Gorge, in northern England. The researchers pegged this person's demise at about 900 years, so it was not even close to as old as a truly archaeological find.

There was an opportunity for area residents to get their DNA checked against the remains, and an elementary school teacher thought this was an ideal opportunity to make history more real to his students, so every child who got permission from their parents had their cheek swabbed, as did he.

There were no significant matches among the students, but the teacher was a direct descendant. At least part of his family had not moved more than 50 miles in 900 years.

She's got a place down there (or did, anyway) before Katrina. She'd give parties at Antoine's or Galatoire's and hire the Preservation Hall Band for the entertainment. I knew some of the players.

The question is, what will happen to this guy? Is he immune as a Royal?
