doing this, shutting down the pipeline? To prove that they can? I think that they are probably measures in place to deal legislatively w/ the interference of the operation of a pipeline on the books (either federal law or state law depending upon the various state players involved w/ this particular hack. Depending upon the nature of the pipeline software (would it record an entity that tried to overwrite commands/etc., or initiate shut down commands or what), would they ever be able to track such nefarious entities down and punish them?
