When MSM give us the polls that the former guy has off the chart favourability polls in the GOP, of course he does, any normal conservative does not want to be part of the Confederacy Party, they love Capitalism to much to join that band wagon of authoritarian incompetence and fascist bollocks. 80% of 25% is the underbelly that started with the tea party and went full white supremacy under the former guy. Let them go kiss the ring. They need to be irrelevant.

(18,628 posts)I read the paper daily, and the editorial page is changing, including a Luckovich cartoon.
Today was Eric Erickson who wrote a column titled "Stamp Out The Crazy". You can imagine where he was going.
Yesterday Jonah Goldberg penned a piece he called "The New 'Banned In Boston'" about republicans going after old school moderates in the party and their foolish denial of the 2020 election results. He really took Josh Hawley to task.
Trump has now laid the division right through his own party.

(32,639 posts)What's happening now in the Repuke Party is nothing like my Grandpa's time as a proud Republican.
These Q-people are nothing like my Grandpa, and many of them don't even know how to behave. They're all brainwashed into Nazis, racists and libertarians. The few sensible people have already left the Party, especially after January 6th.
I'm not directly commenting on Joe Walsh, but it seems he can at least see that he doesn't want to be on this train of fools.
