MediaiteFox News Martha MacCallum spoke with Graham Tuesday and asked him about Senator Joni Ernst (R- IA) deeming the House GOP vote to oust Liz Cheney as cancel culture.
Graham took issue with that and said, Youre not entitled to be a leader. You have to earn that right. And if people dont think youre leading them well, they can fire you.
He said Cheney lost the confidence of House Republicans because shes trying to make the argument that the Republican party is better off without Donald Trump, that hes disqualified from being a member of the Republican party, that he should never be allowed to pursue office again."
So, win-win?

(296 posts)unless they are leaving to become Independents or Dems they are not leaving anything. Any Republican that voted for Trump, and there were 70+ million of them, are all in one bucket. Whether they participated in the Insurrection, approved of it, or disapproved of it, they are still Republicans and they are all the same. They are small Government, big business, racist, misogynist losers. And I will add, anti-American. Literally none of their beliefs are in true spirit America for Americans.
I've got friends that voted for Trump, they said they do not like him but approve of his policies. What policies? Trump voters and Republicans are beyond reach and help. If and when they get control of the government again, it will be the death of America as we knew it.

Is it money? Blackmail? Sheer cravenness? Some psychological condition? Promises of something?
I really shouldn't want to know. It's enough to know that they are vile. But from a historical perspective it sure would be helpful to understand these kinds of turnabouts.

(111,267 posts)and losing those two bunches of radical reactionaries is the only way to salvage your party.
Otherwise, the sane ones will register iNdie or Dem and you'll have lost their votes by driving the sanity away. Fence sitters will follow the sane people and the Republican Party will end up in the elephants; graveyard in a few election cycles.
Getting the GeeOhPee back to some semblance of sanity can still get swing votes. The Dumdum Party, no matter what it;s called, will not. There will be few converts to a party with an aging star and no policies.

What could go wrong....I mean for normal, logicially thinking people.
You know, adult humans.
I can't see it being a problem for the Trumpiest of Trumpies, either.
They will have a better opportunity to start their own political party.
If they can fill out the FEC campaign finance forms.

I just read where a two year old (Maine) shot both his parents with one shot.
They will survive. The father was shot in the head so brain injury is unlikely.
