We are a two party system..whatever our calling parties are. Yang n Yang. Yes n no. Right n left. Republican or Democrat. Otherwise we have a one party system n in that system..I may agree or disagree with you. Then we’d have only one view. Not for us.. we need common ground n even with our differences, we get the business of the country done. I, personally, have not one issue I agree with Miss Cheney..except on this issue she is willing to lay it all on the line for. I respect her truth to power stance. Does not mean I give up my convictions but I am in support of her conviction on this issue.just this issue for now. Some here wanna throw the baby out with the bath water..and we may have to another time..not this time. IMO

Your comment is right on POINT. This has been the problem and is the issue. The seesaw of "rightness". It is so deep that no one can effectively meet in any type of middle and it is destroying all of it.

Yes, it is a two party system. NO it does not ever need to be a one-party system-- PERIOD. That is akin to communism or authoritarianism. Both are completely non-functional.

Equally, a FAILURE to negotiate is NON-FUNCTIONAL. That is why we are were we are at right now. With the country and this nation tearing apart at the seams. It is all about EGO and MY SIDE winning for the moment of whenever they are in POWER. It is about the side that is not in POWER at a given time HATING the other party in POWER.

It is about shutting down voices of dissent on BOTH sides. Left and Right. if someone gets their feelings hurt, they take their balls and go home to brew, get pissed off and plan on how to make the ones that hurt their feelings hurt even worse next time.

It has gotten ridiculous. Many (many, many, many) folks are getting turned off of all of it. Especially the younger generations. Yes, they voted because they were sick of all things Trump. Many seven months or so later are just sick of it all. One may claim they might not have had these conversations or deny if one did -- but it is happening.

Here's the thing: All of it is not working. Folks - call them the silent ones or whatever - are just done. Done. They see beyond the sheets and smokescreens and know that it all smells like BS to them.

So, keep moving towards a One-Party System. It will be at the pearl for which it lays.

There should be a lot of sane Republicans moving to Liz's side....otherwise the Democracy gets killed.

There is no "sane republican".
Every single one of them want to strip people of color of their voting rights.

Every single one of them wants to force us to worship their version of their white Christian "god".

Every single one of them wants to control access to women's reproductive healthcare.

Every single one of them wants to deny LGBTQ people basic human rights.

Especially Liz Cheney.

Every single Republican is one election away from having enough power to make this country into 1930s Germany.

The theme of your post, I think.

My analysis of Republican IDers.

50% - too far gone to reach. probably should not own guns.
25% - Marinated in Fox News but luckily cannot act on their fantasies.
25% - Are beginning to realize that they are on the crazy train and want off. Liz may be a key player to get them off the train.

I think people talking over the next few years will influence in 2022/2024 elections....positively.

She's decided getting off them Trump train gives her the best chance.
If Trump runs no trumpanzee will be able to.
If he doesn't, trumpanzees will all be cookie cutter Trump minis competing with each other.
Only someone who is completely and publically off the Trump train will be able to stand out.

She was one of the first to question Obama being
born in the US. She also lied with her Dad about
weapons of mass destruction that Iraq had and
pushed that war. So she's nothing but a liar just
like the rest of them.

All of this voting rights issues in red states, the consolidation of power within the GOP, the constant lying by conservative media, etc. Is a "power grab" being run and controlled by Trump as a means to maintain his power. The GOP leadership are his minions.
