New Poll Shows That Even Trump Supporters Arent Interested in his Pathetic New Website
There are basically no social media sites that are willing to let Donald Trump use their platform. So the former president had to take matters into his own hands and create his own platform.
The reviews of From the Desk of Donald J. Trump havent been great. Some are calling it a glorified blog. And according to a recent poll from Politico/Morning Consult, even his own supporters havent shown much interest in it.
The pollsters asked respondents, As you may know, former President Trump has a new social media website, From the Desk of Donald J. Trump. How much do you expect to be engaging with this new website?
Only 29% of those polled responded positively with 12% saying a lot and 17% saying some. 71% werent interested saying not at all or not much.
Those who identified as Trump supporters were more positive, but not in a major way. A whopping 46% of Trump die hards said they would not be checking out the site. Only 22% of supporters said they would be visiting the site on a regular basis.
A majority of voters also felt that Trumps current Facebook ban should stay in place. In a different Morning Consult poll, a majority of respondents said that they agreed with the measure.
While the Republican party has acted like Trump is the future of the party, voters dont seem to be so sure. The fact that his website landed with a thud is a pretty good indication that that the former presidents power is in significant decline.

(19,193 posts)at Mar-ma-lardo. A discouraging word from His Assholiness will jeopardize their phoney-balonie jobs, and none of those guys wants to work at a real job ever again. They should change the symbol that represents their party from an elephant to a chicken, and that's being extremely hard on chickens.

1. Do the right thing and lose job?
2. Do the wrong thing and keep job?
They gotta go with #2 because they have already supported him throughout.

(19,193 posts)I'd bet over half of them would like to see Trump drop dead, but they're such sniveling cowards they don't dare take a stand. If you don't take a stand for something, you'll fall for anything. And they have.

Adam Kinzinger just on MSNBC. He was talking about how he outperformed trump in last election. Maybe that's the key to survival.

(15,278 posts)they all still watch Fox News which tells them the same things.
This poll is useful as a blow to Trump's ego that few of his supporters want to hear things directly from him.

(58,785 posts)I read before that trumpists can come and copy the tidy little blocks of toxic text to post them to platforms he's banned from, but that's not exactly up there with being able to post their own excited agreement with their leader's lies and smears.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is a real indicator anyway. Hope, hope! Could really be that Republicans in office are the most committed to keeping Trump afloat -- as the life raft they're left with after kicking out the bottom of their own boat.
