4 Women Say Matt Gaetz's Wingman Pressured Them to Have Sex

Multiple women paid by Rep. Matt Gaetz’s wingman and close associate Joel Greenberg claim they felt pressured to do drugs and have sex with him.

Twelve women agreed to talk with The Daily Beast about their experiences with Greenberg and his friends under the condition of anonymity. All of them said it was their understanding that Greenberg—who until his indictment last June served as the elected tax collector for Seminole County, Florida—was paying them at least in part for sex, going as far back as 2013. Ten women told The Daily Beast they felt pressure at one time or another to drink or take drugs as an entree to sex. And all 12 said Greenberg encouraged them to invite friends, either for himself or men he knew.

The prosecutors have Greenberg admitting he pursued girls online for "sugar daddy/sugar baby" relationships, as Greenberg described it.

Gaetz admits he paid his past "girlfriends" school/college tuition. Obviously, that is a young age group.

Greenberg has plead guilty to paying these girls for sex, and "attempting to disguise the payments as ‘school-related’ expenses or other living expenses,” the charging documents said. Greenberg admitted they paid the girls extra money to get them to take Ecstasy, then they would have sex with these drugged girls. These scumbag men were in their late 30s (Greenberg is 37, Gaetz is 39). 8. I wonder whether the Seminole County Tax Office is doing a detailed audit

of funds use when that guy was running the office? An official at that level in Florida makes around $125,000-$200,000 per year before federal taxes, that isn’t much money to be paying women hundreds of dollars per situation and paying for drugs.

If Greenberg has any sense at all, he was getting the money from Gaetz. I think at least some of it came from him. If Greenberg was taking tax money to pay for sex, drugs, etc., he's in big, big trouble. Considering how many charges have been made against him, he might have been doing that.

The Florida Attorney General now and the one before her is about as useful as breasts on a bull. She seems to use the office to pursue partisan political goals, not to protect the General people of this state.

20. Florida is an interesting case study of how economic development and growth changes politics.

All the big cities here except Miami (conservative Cubans and not enough progressive Cubans to effectively counterbalance them) are pretty blue, even Jacksonville has flipped toward being more progressive. The rural regions of the state, and there is a lot of such places, along with northwest Florida and South Florida Cubans form the support system for Florida republicans, that goes away, the party shrivers on the vine.

One way to develop a counterbalance is to bring about more advanced businesses in the state, in the areas of Medicine, Communications, Advanced Materials - that requires foresighted venture capital, of which Florida has little to none outside of Disney (Orlando was reliably republican before Disney set up there, now it is the bluest part of the state - Disney brought an Entertainment Technology seed that blossomed into the most high tech part of the state).
