(72,300 posts)I also bought extra ice cream and raw chicken breast. Both of my freezers are full.
BTW, BJ's was running out of chicken breast, lots of thighs.

Gas sloshing around in a storage container?
JFC people are idiots.

Just the weight of the fuel alone likely broke that bag open.

(37,162 posts)There was a thread earlier today which sourced that first on to a 2019 case in Mexico. The other two might be from recent hoarding, but might also be non-recent photos of idiots at the pumps.

Plus gasoline degrades plastic....
At least one of those pictures shows people using an EPA approved container. That's not to bad (basically an extra tank).
But those hefty bags......I'm a pretty keep to myself guy. But I think I would have called the police.

(12,132 posts)I see 3 tanks and there could easily be a couple more. When I stopped for gas yesterday (Central Florida at a Costco) there was a sign limiting everyone to 2 cans or less. No more than 6.5 gallons each.
And my Costco had extra workers policing the lines, directing traffic and watching the tanks.

(11,744 posts)You have to use State approved containers to fill with gas. I am sure that some dumbasses do this in California too, but at least here they can be legally stopped from putting their lives and those of people around them in danger.

(142 posts)And I had to wait in some long lines for gas back then. I don't recall anyone doing stupid stuff like this. People were either filling their tanks and maybe some gas cans... nothing else. This was before social media. I kind of wonder if people are getting dumb ideas from other people on social media.
