When I see the combined country of Israelistine, I will believe peace is possible.

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Omaha Steve (a host of the General Discussion forum).

Until then, the killing will never stop. There will be conflict until both sides learn to share. Any parent knows this. Why can't adults on both sides figure this out?

IMHO, we're Yugoslavia except the bullets and rockets haven't been fired yet.

The countries that once made up Yugoslavia are now happy and peaceful independent States because they don't have to abide by the other sides rules.

And an organized division of the assets, debts and military.

One submarine for you, one for me... 10 F35's for you, 10 for me...

stuff like that.

Dividing landmass will be more difficult.

Landmass is heavily RED.

I can see 2 countries that look like this:

A solid Blue West Coast with a 50 mile wide easement running East to Minnesota, connecting the States to the NorthEast with a new "Mason Dixon Line" South of Fairfax Co VA.

It would be difficult because each country would NEED:

Ports
Land for Agriculture
Elbow Room
Infrastructure
Weather

And since most States have GOP control, the GOP Country is likely to be physically larger

But whenever I drive South, which I've done frequently during my stay here... once I get South of maybe... Stafford and Culpeper I see a big difference. Still see Trump flags and Police Lives Matter bumper stickers.

Sure, gets blue again around Richmond but Richmond is an island.

If we want to get technical, the Palestinian - Israel conflict is a civil war that's been going on probably since 66 C.E.

Rome went through five emperors in five years which enabled the Kingdom of Judah to revolt and throw off Roman imperial control (ironically, it was about taxes). However, that left a bit of a vacuum and there were three different political groups vying and killing each other for control. Basically a fucking mess.

When Vespasian finally took control of the empire, he sent Titus to pacify Judah. I won't go into specifics, but ultimately Titus was forced to wipe out those fighting them and expel everyone in the city and surrounding areas, and this happened at the time of Passover when there was a large transit population in Jerusalem and surrounding areas.

And here is the myth, not everyone who was Jewish was expelled. Communities further away were spared. And note, I said "Judah", which is a territory which is about a third what Israel is today. In the north, which used to comprise the Kingdom of Israel, still held their communities. There has always been people who were of Jewish descent in that area, despite the false information we get.

However, there was one major change. The vast majority who were Jewish, converted to Islam. There are Ottoman Empire records confirming this. And why not? They do have a few similar beliefs...and Muslims were protecting them from those brutal and blood thirsty Christians. But wait! There's more!

DNA tests have shown that Palestinians and Jewish Israeli's are brothers, nor was it a surprise when it was discovered. Those who studied last name origins on both sides already knew it. But tell the average Palestinian or Israeli this, you might wake up in the hospital. Both like to claim that Palestinians are Canaanites, only problem with that, genetic evidence show they migrated north and compose what is the present day nation of Lebanon.

For me, Palestinian or Jew...no difference, just religion. And as someone who descends from an almost mythical group, people who ask me, "Will you ever visit Jerusalem". Me; "Why would I want to go to that pile of ruble where blood has been spilt everywhere".

I have been there several times and it is a beautiful city and of course rich in history. And no, I am not Jewish or an Evangelical. I just love history.
