Federal Election Commission filings show that the leadership PAC controlled by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy — Majority Committee PAC, or McPAC — paid one of GOP pollster Frank Luntz’s companies nearly $40,000 in late 2020, just before McCarthy began renting what he described as a “room” in the recently renovated apartment, the Washington Post reports.

I'm still waiting to learn why 2 members of the FEC failed to vote to pursue an investigation of "individual 1?"

2. the fec is a toothless shadow.....

Especially under former guy, but mcconnel kept the board below what it needed for a quorum so they technically couldn't even meet to vote. Then they starved it of resources so it was basically a commission in name only. It has had zero enforcement power.

This way McCarthy can use campaign funds to enrich Luntz instead of paying rent out of his pocket.
