My friend, the anti-masker

Good friend of mine was in a store, and was one of about half of the crowd wearing a mask.
A woman in her 30s or 40s approached him and said, "I don't mean to be rude, but why are you wearing that mask? Even Fauci and the CDC no longer recommend it."

He said his response just came to him. Leaning towards her, he said in a low voice, "Oh, I agree, and I have never worn them when I could avoid it, but my doctor made me promise to since I had a positive Covid test yesterday. I haven't had any symptoms, so I decided....." He said she didn't hear the rest of what he was saying as she was backing away from him at a quick pace.

for the record, he is fully vaccinated and, like me, says he will continue to mask up so that no one will suspect him of being a Republican.

Slipped his mask down to his chin as he explained this to her. I have had several people do this to me when talking in the grocery checkout lane early on in the pandemic. They would lower their mask, then put it back in place when done speaking. Not kidding.

I continue to wear one for those who are not ready, immuno-compromised or just plain uncomfortable being in a petri dish. It's a minuscule sacrifice for me, if even that. If people are perturbed for patriots wanting to mask up for the common good, fuck 'em.

A couple of weeks ago, before these restrictions were lifted, I went to the supermarket but didn't have a mask. I always keep one in the car, but this time, it wasn't there! So, I drove back home (only a 5 minute drive) just to get it....there was no way I would want anyone to think that I'm a republican!!

Double mask. I do not wanna smell the MAGA Shit. It is nauseating. That has been so nice for the last 1.5 years. Plus if I had a horse face like Major Trailer Queen, I’d wear three, everywhere.

Q: How do you know the difference between a fully-vaccinated person and an unvaccinated person if they aren't wearing a mask?

A: Ask them who won the election.

Unless you either a) like it very much or b) wish to assign a fictional sincerity to them.

"And she obviously listens to Fauci..." Any specific relevance in alleging as such? Or just idle speak?
