because all jobs will require proof of vaccination to work.
You work with the elderly or people it would make sense to show proof. Even working in an office to keep everyone safe. I dont see how anyone could not get the vaccine

(108 posts)Read it but Im going back to avisiting angel kind of work and I just assumed I will have to show proof of vaccine to work. Then of course I thought about other jobs and created this post. However with what you wrote makes me think I spoke to soon. The story of my life 😁

(791 posts)unless / until full FDA approval of the vaccine(s) and OSHA mandates. Absent those things, my understanding is that employers don't have the right to require proof of vaccination status. I could be completely wrong.

(20,661 posts)(that everyone here would be familiar with). Anyway, once the vaccines were made available to the general public, my employer of course was completely on board, and strongly encouraged all employees to get vaccinated, as a part of process to return to a more normalized state.
My employer made the point that while they could technically MANDATE vaccination for all employers, they absolutely strongly hinted at the idea that one's future might not be so bright if they chose to refuse to do so. The wording was essentially along the lines of, "Job assignments may change, etc.". It seemed crystal clear to me that if one was unwilling to be vaccinated, some of their responsibilities may be shifted to others that would have the ability to travel, gather with others and such, without the specter of infection.
And we already KNOW that some employers are requiring proof of vaccination for new employees (Delta Airlines, maybe?).

(5,000 posts)Most large employers will probably take this step if they cover health insurance for their employees, and also don't want to have to pay for extended sick time.

(18,740 posts)..and i will cont to mask up until the numbers worldwide are significantly lower.
What pisses me off are the grifters who never masked up, never got vaxed and never took any precautions and are now enjoying the sanctioned freedoms that WE sacrificed for.

(37,182 posts)This has been the standard for years for other diseases like the measles and mumps. They won't let you attend the school without proof of vaccinations.
