(14,876 posts)Your Aunt sounds like a remarkable person. Learning about things that are on the edge of reality shows the two of you are very brave.
The subject is fascinating on so many levels. Ive been reading about UFOs since 1966, when I was 9 years of age. I lived in Michigan, where a flap was in progress. The newspapers werent afraid to print stories on what people reported. While we dont know many answers, yet, we can learn and share, think and talk.
Heres one of Dr. J. Allen Hyneks favorite cases:
Papua New Guinea Sighting (1959)
William B. Gill, an Anglican priest with a mission in Bosinai, Papas New Guinea, observed craft-like UFOs one with Humanoid figures on top on two consecutive evenings, June 26-27, 1959. About twenty-five natives, including teachers and medical technicians, also observed the phenomena. They signaled the humanoids and received an apparent response. This was one of sixty UFO sightings within a few weeks in the New Guinea area.

(20,237 posts)I don't recall the whole experience, but it was interesting. Some unexplainable phenom. My ma knew I was going and she dint throw a fit. I had parents that taught to consider all sides of anything, then come to a reasonable conclusion. As long as whatever it was, not harmful to myself or others.They imparted being non-judgmental and were not fond of legalism in the Faith.
