The fact that some of them are even accused of aiding these insurrectionists. The fact that almost all of them fell into sttep with the lies to cover their own seditionist asses. The fact that their name is all over this crime. The fact that there is no denying it and they are desperate for the collective lack of memory in the American people to kick in so that they can try to forget this ever happened... until they are in a better position for it to happen again.

I don't know what that means or involves. Meet with important Democrats, the operatives, the consultants, the state party chairs. Steve Schmidt sees this through a wide, insightful lens, but it's like he makes a noise from a lounge chair by the pool. I wonder if he's not the Tom Paine of our age.

True. The wheels of democracy grind slowly. If “The People” do not wake up and vote the GOP out in 2022, then maybe 2024 will be a second chance. If not in 2024 -- my god almighty if the GOP re-takes the WH, it may be over, democracy may be dead for centuries and possibly forever.

So, assuming that the public does react to the traitors of January 6, the soldiers left “bloody and alone” by a leader who wasn’t particularly interested in them, the Representatives who helped 45 exhorting the mob to violence, the filthy traitors watching the violence unfold from the White House (with one notable woman literally dancing for joy, as I recall), the fight will still be on going. Getting a safe majority -- is 70% too much to hope for? -- of Americans to accept the constitution and to embrace democracy is going to take time and patience, but until we get there, our freedoms will be in jeopardy.

Generations to get there? I won’t be around, but by the time I leave this mortal coil the direction of the path should be clear, whether to democracy or oligarchic fascism.

Or maybe a year or two after his death. Nobody else has the charisma to carry on his ideology.

How the republicans have become so brainwashed by a psychopathic fascist is beyond me.

Some Pharisee and some Roman probably said the same thing about Jesus. Jesus had Paul to carry on the word and, according to some sources, actually create the christian movement.

Who does Trump have?

Hawley? He’s a treasonous POS and that, at least, is in his favor. But he hasn’t been able to get much air time since the Insurrection and its immediate aftermath. It’s like the media just isn’t all that into him, and without the media, he’s invisible.

So who? If Trump has no Paul, then the whole nightmare crumbles when Trump dies.
