"SNIP......

Politico: “House progressives sent their own warning shot Tuesday to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, arguing in a letter that Democrats should pursue a multitrillion-dollar megabill sweeping Biden’s priorities together, ‘a single, ambitious package combining physical and social investments hand in hand.’ It’s the strongest sign yet that a growing number of liberals are done with trying to cut an infrastructure deal with Republicans that costs $800 billion at most and kicks other priorities down the road.”

“If Tuesday was any indication, Biden and Republicans are miles away from a deal.”

They're not gonna vote for it. They're just stalling.

Show leadership by moving on without them. Get things started now.

can be passed with reconciliation which only requires a simple majority. I’ll double check but I believe I’m correct.

meaning it's only Joe Manchin's agreement that is in question for the 50 votes needed.

...that there is no point in making deals with them. Even on the off chance you come to an agreement, they will vote against it ultimately. This plays to their advantage with their base and disheartens various types of Democrats.

Time to end the pretense and do what Democrats want done without any Republican input until Republicans provide some real evidence that there is reason to make deals with them.
