(46,099 posts)If she embarrasses enough of them often enough, maybe they'll stop asking stupid questions like that.

(11,752 posts)She is so skilled in the way she actually answers the question and calls out the stupidity of the way the questions are posed without doing that stupid, "Fake news" bullshit or straight up lying, like the Trump admin people did.

Their lack of research is also on full display.
They cannot bait Jen into over reacting or saying the wrong thing.

(8,081 posts)You've got a right-wing Conserrrrrrrrrrrrrrvative Republican calling for a TAX HIKE ON THE WEALTHY!!!!! On teaching about racism, of all things.
This hypocrisy ranks right up there with the NRA supporting gun control..... when it came to the Black Panthers.

(15,325 posts)Tax the Churches.
There's no better example of indoctrination.
I was going to post the same thing. Churches that amass billions of dollars, then invest in land, securities etc. should be taxed up the wazoo. The reason churches aren't taxed is so they can do good deeds for the unfortunate, not invest in real estate and securities to amass even more money.

(1,336 posts)The reason churches exist is for indoctrination. And money, these days.
I watched a documentary on Billy Graham the other night (well, actually, I could only watch about half of it because it made me kinda sick). He started out as a Fuller Brush salesman; had super conservative parents and married a wannabe missionary. Using God (his God) to draw people into these big outdoor tents and scaring them into believing they could be "saved". Then he used his political connections with Presidents to further his evangelical ministry and basically introduced the religious/political industry that, today, has gotten totally out of hand.

I think Biden should come out strongly for funding of apprenticeship and trades (he already has) with specific set asides, etc. Yes, by all means. Why do they need to talk about "critical race theory" (whatever they think that is) to do so? Because it's just another dumb cultural wedge where they try to set people who would benefit from trades training against college students, and particularly black college students and other students of color. The weirdest part about it is that Cotton could absolutely get more money for trades and apprenticeship if he wasn't playing some dumb game. Why does he have to get it from Harvard rather than Caterpillar and Goldman? Because he's a liar and a racist shitheel, that's why.
(PS: Harvard should pay money on their clownishly large endowment to fund community colleges and small rural colleges).

(37,748 posts)I had zero idea who Psaki was prior to Pres. Biden appointing her and have been pleasantly-- no, jubilantly surprised by the perfect intersection of her professionalism, candor, breadth of relevant knowledge and her carefully crafted left-handed compliments targeting the opposition.

What skills! And a marvelous, marvelous, marvelous choice as WH Press Secretary. The position will never be the same after her tenure, and I mean that in the very best way possible.
I would bet she didn't just cook her techniques, they were working on strategy for many, many months.

I kinda love her passive/aggressive answers to these idiots. Which former D press officers didn't bother with. They just would answer in a short monotone talking point and move on. Thinking that disengagement was the best way. But its far better to engage and leave them and their question in shatters.

(111,383 posts)When a propagandist makes a sweeping claim in alarmist language, pin him/her down and don't allow him/her to wriggle free. Force them to cite at least one specific thing and then destroy it with facts. Facts always have a liberal bias. Use 'em.
Letting them lie their asses off without comment to "preserve access" hasn't worked, will never work.
