Anyone asking why a 1/6 commission is necessary

Need only watch how hysterically Republicans are trying to prevent one to understand why it's the right thing to do.

They want nothing more than to keep this in Congress and force the Democrats to hold congressional hearings that Republicans can turn into an ineffective partisan circus.

They're terrified of a commission which would conduct an investigation
that they can neither control nor blow up.

Read the room, folks.

The GOP sees compromise as weakness.

Form a commission with a Democratic majority, and ask for GOP volunteers. No volunteers from the current GOP members in Congress, ask conservative lawyers or scholars to volunteer.

And then run those videos every week until the 2022 elections.

If McConnell and/or McCarthy will have the power to name the Republican members of the commission then that would be big problem. But be that as it may, you are right. It must be a good thing if the GOP is fighting it so hard.

will not work with the Dems. Don't give them anymore space. Shut them out. I believe people are beginning to wonder about what is going on. Some of the diehards won't change, but there are some people in the middle who will listen. I honestly believe that, but not as long as we keep giving the repugs a voice and a vote. They don't deserve it. What they deserve I can't say, but I'm so mad that they are f**king with my democracy and my country.
