that others weren't as excited as he was during the invasion of Congress/attempted coup. Well now, contrary to his statement that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not be arrested, there are three criminal investigations on the way.
That stupid grin has been wiped of his ugly face. He is history.
Don't give them an inch Dems - keep the crimes of the insurrectionist in chief and his tools front and center.
Now get the Select Committee going RFN!

(41,631 posts)Think about it, how many years will this litigation take? I'll bet we'll still be talking about Chump for the next 4 or 5 years until he's finally put away in prison - or dead.
All the evil that was done during his lousy one term will take at least 10 years of hard work to undo and reset. Some of it can't be undone - 500,000 Americans died needlessly of a dangerous virus and he took no precautions. He ignored all the warnings.
I hope our grandchildren outlive the bad memory of Chump, because I know none of us will.

(9,090 posts)cons wanted to pump out of 1500 coordinated radio stations, while dems got obsessed with fox, a symptom, the cartoon cliff notes. the russians started feeding it at least in 2007 and pushed palin on mccain and have been feeding it and piggybacking it ever since. the collusion was right under our noses. all they had to do was figure out how to feed trump's golf partner and neighbor in palm beach, who's show on 600 radio stations reached 20 mil a day and set the tone for 1000 other stations.
they're dittoheads and trumpism died with limbaugh, who said the word "trump" an average of 50 times an hour since the 2016 primaries, while media labeled trump a branding genius and ignored the radio. ironically, trump killed his sir lie-a-lot by getting him to delay treatments so he could keep making excuses for him and keep republicans in line

(296,101 posts)Where was liberal radio?
certainot
(9,090 posts)liberals got so far behind they had no chance vs the monopoly, so it was/is mom and pop vs walmart.
but it wouldn't take much to force the ad industry to break up the monopoly now that artificial intelligence makes it so easy and cheap to record and transcribe and analyze it on large scale. for boycotters it means listing advertisers without listening, just searching.
then there are all those university and pro teams that support hundreds of stations and need to be 'encouraged' to find alternatives.
already they're losing ad revenue and can't replace limbaugh with one guy so all the different owners will eventually go different directions - all or most that stick with rw talk will be losing, since he was the king it was all built around. right now there are probably a lot of pissed off advertisers and radio stations losiing audience and the limbaugh show is doing the 'best of' with half assed replacements

(15,675 posts)For generations, their "men of God" have told them that they're Jesus' special snowflakes, and of course God agrees 100% with their political opinions. When you're told this, it leads to a kind of radicalization that goes beyond not being willing to work with the other side but viewing them as pawns - either knowingly or unknowingly - of the Devil. Add onto this that republicans have always said (at least since I've been alive) in one way or another, that their candidates are God's chosen (no more so than with Trump), and all you're missing are belt buckles with, "Gott Mitt Uns," inscribed on them.
I've been doing a deep dive into the latest batch of "prophets." They all have their own YouTube channels, and they all predicted Trump would win, and the fact that Biden is president is all the proof that the election was stolen - the nutty Q theories on vote fraud is just gravy. God's will not being done is good enough.

(22,343 posts)In reviewing the 2016 election, it came to me that enough people I 'know' as acquaintences or stronger, were quite vocal in expressing their dislike of HRC. They were dreading the chance that she would be elected when it did look a possibility. I just wondered if, IF, we had 'not a woman candidate'. Don't really know if that would have made a difference in light of all that came together against us in obtaining a victory. Gerrymandering, foreign interference, voter suppression, etc., etc. I'll never forget, with disgust in my soul, how he conducted himself in the debates with her. He had not one iota of any qualities or standards to be granted the office of U.S. President.
Well, thanks be we now are gifted with Pres. Biden and Vice Pres. Harris. And the entire administration.
I personally couldn't wrap my noggin around if that had not been the 2020 election outcome. I shudder in considering.

(32,321 posts)commission for Benghazi, they went straight to select committees. 2 i/2 years and 33 hearings, spent millions, with the result of no wrong doing.
Speaker Pelosi will have to wait for the Senate to vote down the commission before she goes for the select committee.
The more I think about it, the GQP made a mistake not voting for the bipartisan commission because they had equal rights with Democrats. Since everything is political with them they can't vote for the commission because it will pizz off MF45 and the base. What a pathetic bunch of losers. GQP Reps do nothing but fund beg for money, lie, and introduce bills written by the Heritage Foundation.
