But...but..the base

“Hey I’m glad you voted that way. I wish i could have but my base...” is getting to be a pretty exhausting excuse.

Heh. Of course they are scared of their base. Their base these days consists of the kind of fuckers that will mount an armed insurrection and try and hang Pence. Hell if they were my base I would be scared of them too. From the inception of the tea baggers they have pandered too and allowed the swivelled eyed loon fringe to take over the party, and when you want to cling to power as desperately as the neo GOP house members, you need to leave any moral or ethical decision making at the door. Of course, while they pander to the new and shrinking base of the party right leaning independents look on aghast.

The base does not get you elected, just selected.

Yeah, they'll be at the rallies, they'll trash the Capitol, they'll take their guns to state capitals, etc. But do they actually vote? How much of them? What if it's 15% and that's not much political influence.

... getting selected is as good as getting elected. There are districts so bad that you could stick a "R" on a turd and it wouldn't matter if the "D" candidate was Jesus H Christ... The turd would win.

Everything to please the moronic base. Meanwhile smart thinking independents and moderate Repubs are being totally turned off. So keep this shit up.

The vast majority of Repukes aren't in it to lead, serve, or anything remotely of a noble nature. They're in it for the cushy job, to line their own pockets and various and sundry power trips. Thus, they really don't give a shit what gets them in power, just as long as they're in power. If that means catering to a lunatic base by spouting crazy shit? Hey, whatever. Just like their voters are the absolute worst of us, their candidates are the absolute worst as well. The real dregs of our society. We'd all be far better off if we were rid of the lot of them.

The chickenshit R House Members are so afraid of getting mean tweets. That's all they care about. You know what - stay off Twitter and do your effing job! Erase your Twitter account. Do what's best for your voters and your district. To hell with mean tweets, don't even read them.

Chump is kicked off Twitter permanently, and one-by-one these a-hole ChumpHumpers will be kicked off too. House Representatives don't have to worry about mean tweets, they just need to do their job.
