Here's Liz Cheney refusing to admit that the raft of voter suppression bills across the US is the result of Trumps Big Lie.

The rot goes all the way down throughout the GOP.

(42,435 posts)But besides that he has millions of Slightly Smaller Lies. He has so many Lies that we can't even rank them all. I suspect that other Repukes are creating New Lies in Chump's name, at least for the time being. Sooner or later he'll want to be paid for them, so they'll have to stop eventually.
The thing we need to keep in mind is that Liz Cheney is first and foremost a Repuke!

They've been working this angle since before 2000, and any time they've lost they've counted it as "proof" that there's "voter fraud" going on.

(61,033 posts)the big lie and won't admit the obvious and glaring republican vote suppression efforts going on around the nation. She negating the merit of her own stance against trump and doesn't even realize it.
She says you have to look at each state's voter bills individually as if they all sprang up independently instead of from ALEC.
She's still a fu_king republican and favors vote suppression of POCs. She's no heroine.

(9,446 posts)I wish the main stream media would play this clip every time a new Republican voter law is proposed and passed.

(9,446 posts)These new voter laws are not completely the result of Donald Trump's big lie. Many of these bills would have been pushed even if Trump had not claimed the 2020 election was stolen. These bills are being pushed because Trump lost the election and Republican would rather prevent people from voting than trying to figure out how to get more people to vote for them and their ideas.
This is the same thing that happened after Barack Obama won the 2008 election. Even after Bill Clinton's first presidential election win in the early 90s. Republicans claimed Clinton had not actually won the election. Granted, Republicans were mainly claiming that Clinton had not actually won because Ross Perot had run in that election and had taken votes away from George H. W. Bush. They claimed that if you added Perot's and Bush's votes together Bush would have had more votes than Clinton. At that point Republican did not, as far as I remember, call for election law reforms, but they still disputed Clinton's right to be President.
So, anytime Republicans lose an election, they claim the election was stolen. I guess President Obama's 2009 and maybe his 2012 election made Republicans think they needed to do more than just put friendly politicians in place in order to sway elections by trying to prevent certain people from voting, especially when the candidate is popular. As a result, they are now pushing laws that are going to make it harder to vote.
