How is this possible? Because they are being told to believe it by FOX , Newsmax, OAN, and right-wing radio. It's too bad they do not have to tell the truth. Even worse, they do not have to not tell a lie. I am at the point where I do not believe Democrats can fix this problem. It is a problem of the Republicans. It is up to them to fix it.

A majority of Republicans still believe Donald Trump won the 2020 U.S. presidential election and blame his loss to Joe Biden on illegal voting, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll.
The May 17-19 national poll found that 53% of Republicans believe Trump, their party's nominee, is the true president now, compared to 3% of Democrats and 25% of all Americans.

(866 posts)If you had asked me in 2017 who was the real president, I would have said, Hillary Clinton. Just like those Republicans, I would have known my answer was not true, but Id never have said the former guy. Stop poling these jerks.

How can you have a trump 2024 banner on your house and claim he is in his second term ?

(65,168 posts)First 53% of under 24% is only about 1 in 8 voters. It's not hard to envision 1 in 8 as politically nuts.
Second, the overall numbers of the poll don't square with 4 other polls showing Biden's approval at 60% or higher.
It requires too high a fraction of independents to approve of Biden to square with historical results.
Third, 3% of dems think T***p is still POTUS? I think not. That just doesn't make sense given a nearly 8 million vote win & approval of at least 3 in 5 voters.
So, it's not really that big a number, and I question their results across the board.
