(28 posts)you are rich. In fact, as the stock market recovers and bounces back while the economy lags, inequality has grown and been exacerbated. Most of the stocks are owned by the wealthy, not ordinary Americans. It is great that big businesses and the wealthy are doing well, but what about the rest of Americans?
Pages 10 -17 break down the distribution of stocks.

(4,982 posts)Have you paid any attention to Repub talking points lately? Particularly the phrase "anti-business Obama?" Let me make it simple for you: Republicans repeatedly claim Obama is anti-business or bad for business or Wall St. Well given the facts I posted above, that is clearly not true because the stock market always does better under Dems.
Now, I said nothing about whether the stock market was a measure of a healthy overall economy or not. That is a separate discussion. If you wish to divert this thread to that subject as a means of distraction from my main point, be my guest.

(28 posts)Next time be more clear in your posts rather than play these obfuscating games. Nowhere in your OP did you claim that this was in regards to Republican talking points which I am quite aware of. For example, read post 4 here:

Read post 13 here:

I am quite aware of Republican hypocrisy, so I don't need you to point it out. However, if you would like to talk about it, then be clear. Don't play guessing games, then assume a condescending attitude when people respond in a manner that you don't like.

(28 posts)feel it necessary to vent those ill and misguided feelings to troll and pollute a completely unrelated thread.
Please, practice some maturity. If you have issues with me, then pm me. No need to unnecessarily troll and pollute threads due to your incapability of building a bridge and moving on.

(36,925 posts)You'll be just another turd on my ignore shit list long before I ever harbor ill feelings toward you, provided you survive around here much longer and at the rate you're going I'd be quite surprised if you last much longer. Right now you're just too much fun.
As far as pollution goes, I have yet to see a thread you didn't stink up to high hell, and this one is no exception. I have pretty much zero interest in PMing low post count trolls who feel the need to come to DU to defend Ayn Rand.
As far as maturity goes, most people learned by grammar school that if you can't take it, don't dish it out. I seem to find that lacking in your cognative development.
Just sayin'
Cheers!

(28,762 posts)a few years ago. She was worried that if Obama won the election that the capital gains tax would be raised.
I pointed out that I have always done better in the market with a democrat president. Then I asked which is better, a lot more capital gains with a slightly higher tax, or lower capital gains with the capital gain tax we're paying now? She answered by saying, maybe we should change the subject. She's a great financial adviser, but lousy when it comes to politics. I know she is very religious and I think her religion is why she thinks the way she does.
