Interesting twitter thread on the new Israel government

If this happened in the U.S. it would be like if Ted Cruz made a deal with Joe Manchin for Cruz to replace Trump as president for 2 years and then Manchin the next 2 years while the cabinet Secretaries would be filled with Majorie Taylor Green, Josh Hawley, Gaetz, Bernie Sanders, AOC, Colin Powell, Jill Stein, Angus King and Ralph Nader

He assumed office 31 March 2009

"We need a government that will reflect the fact that we don’t hate one another. A government in which left, right and centre will work together to tackle the economic and security challenges we face,” Lapid said last week."

Lots to digest if we want to put authoritarians in the review mirror.

parliamentary governments work, including ours in Canada. Should one party not win the majority, they look to another party they can work with to form a working government. Sometimes it works and sometimes it will cause a new election when they come to an impasse. I used to envy the US system but no more, I will take our multiple party system.

If it works, Hallelujah!

“A government like this will succeed only if we work together as a group,” he said.

He (Bennet) said everyone “will need to postpone fulfilling all their dreams. We will focus on what can be done, instead of fighting all day on what’s impossible.”

But Netanyahu is another authoritarian with only power in his sights. He is undoubtedly corrupt and feels comfortable with Putin and Trumpwad. Bennet appears to want to govern. Big difference.
