I got my sample ballot for the June 8 election. From Governor to Council, all of the Democrats are running unopposed.

(113,971 posts)Spite voting can be so empowering.
(Plus, my libby sense is tingling and I think the Trumpanzee's next ploy is to say low turnout proves that mail-in and early voting are unnecessary.)

(38,054 posts)Do it for your local committee people. Your vote will be tallied as "in confidence" and help the state party define which races need more financial help.
We need help for our Commissioner Candidates in Hunterdon. Up against Holt and Sedition Susan Soloway. We have a board of *Free holders" instead of Commissioners due to her (Soloway's) fellow GOPers not condemning her for her participation in the 1/6 Attempt to overthrow the American Government.
The vote of confidence will be similar to the one for Booker last year. So few signs and door knockers for Booker - due to his popularity.

(32,321 posts)I live in a red district so I had no Democrat to vote for in many offices. We also had state wide ballot initiatives that would restrict the power of our Democratic governor and give it to the Republican controlled legislature. Those initiatives sadly passed. I was upset that there wasn't a bigger push by Democrats to oppose these initiatives. Losing state wide ballot initiatives in Pa. is scary to me. Where was the publicity to defeat these initiatives?

(19,382 posts)I would guess 80-85 percent. I believe most just put yes on everything. They do that for judges too. Yes everything. So depending on the writing it can be bad for the state but voters are unaware of not sure what it is.

(38,054 posts)We have an extremely popular Governor at the top of the ticket. The poster is likely in a state legislative district that is solid blue.
Full Disclosure - I'm a Democratic Committee member in NJ.
I need folks to vote in the primary because it helps determine where it will be a slam dunk for our Candidates - and where we need to knock on doors. Who needs door hangers . . . where we will need the Unions to help us . . . where yard signs and meet and greets are necessary . . . where we need voter registration boots on the ground.
Hyper focused on this years election. Since our state are in odd years and off from Federal elections - we have a unique opportunity (beloved Democratic Governor) to get rid as many GOP as possible.

And you're just saying "meh .. not going to bother voting because other people are going to make sure that everyone I want to win is going to win anyway"?
Wow.
Just wow.
