When Christians get their theocracy, which Christians will be in charge?

When Christians get their theocracy, which Christians will be in charge?

Which Bible will be the basis of the replacement Constitution?

Will the other Christians accept it as such? Would the Protestants and Catholics accept Mormons in charge? Jews and Muslims have major differences in denominations and have had wars/battles between themselves. Christians have their own true believers who are certain that the other Christians are false Christians. Surely some of them would turn their plowshares back into weapons to ensure their place and power on this earthly Kingdom.

We have plenty of Christian mullahs who want to be the Ayatollah of America.

millions died.

That's why the Founding Fathers didn't declare a State Religion. They couldn't agree on which one anyway.

But ask them what their plan is.

Competing groups of Christians have collectively spent centuries warring against each other. I don't see that changing when the new theocracy is established, especially considering the diversity, just among those who call themselves conservative Christians.

Having many centuries of experience, they're the best at kissing authoritarian ass.

U.S.A. Evangelicals are going to be shocked when their leaders are hauled away for the Inquisition.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

The right wing Orthodox Churches play the same role in the traditionally Orthodox nations like Russia.

That's yet another reason it's best to avoid authoritarian government.

the 17th century, fought over religion. Some areas of Europe were estimated to have lost as much as 60% of their population to war and resulting famine.

Not that things were that much better in the 16th century, with horrors like the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre in Paris as French Catholics slaughtered French Protestants, and the massacre of the French Protestant settlers and soldiers by Spanish soldiers near St. Augustine.

And there are too many other tragedies and atrocities to mention.

Religion and politics can be a very deadly mix.

Stupid emphasis on education.

The most power-hungry, vindicative, bloodthirsty ones of the lot—that is who will take over. Iran wasn‘t an exception. It was the rule. But it is a coalition that is by nature unstable. Like Orwell noted in Animal Farm—as the Germans say: „Die Revolution frisst ihre Kinder auf.“ The revolution eats its children.
