"SNIP......

Wall Street Journal: “Economists and policy makers are debating whether stimulus spending and easy monetary policy are fueling inflation. Many businesses say there is another culprit that should share the blame: import tariffs.”

“The Trump administration implemented tariffs on products including lumber, steel and semiconductors to shield American companies from a glut of cheap imported products from China and other countries.”

“The U.S. Trade Representative’s Office, which is conducting a review of U.S. tariff policy, is studying whether easing tariffs, among other factors, could relieve the supply shortage for lumber and other products.”

For assembly are up in some cases from 3.9% to 25%

The jackass didn't stick to finished goods.

For non tech - where large stockpiles could be purchased prior to the implementation - no problem. Those stockpiles have been depleted - Now the general public is feeling the pain the manufacturing tech sector has felt for years.

Stimulus payments and loans, low interest rates and tariffs are all causing inflation to some degree. By the time many start getting a $15 minimum wage it will be worth about $7.50 and we are right back where we started.

St Louis Fed M1 money supply figures are through the roof.

Hopefully we get to 10-15 percent inflation. I like debt destruction.

Inflation right now is the driving force behind declining birth rates, worldwide.

Who would have thought that loose monetary policy would bring about population control?

I would rather see a few defunct currencies, than an uninhabitable Earth.

Currencies come and go over time, our home planet does not.

death by disease are the reason for declining birth rates. In africa too birth rates go down to 1.7% if you have these three things.

10. Biggest reason in China is they can't afford 2 let alone 3 children.

India is experiencing the same issue.

They are starting to choose less children there due to costs as well.

The Chinese are pretty much balking at the 3 child thing.
