Said Garza: “I’m disgusted that the Republican senators decided to vote no. It’s a spit in the face to Brian, it’s a spit in the face to all the officers that were there that day.”

She added: “And I was a person who supported Donald Trump. Brian was a supporter of his… He knew that Brian was devoted to him, and he did not once reach out to me… he didn’t even send a letter of condolences. He did absolutely nothing.”

Too often it takes a personal wounding, a tragic loss to see the light. This is a case in point.

It's also why we should never allow another Republican to swear their fidelity to law enforcement. They trashed the thin Blue line. They disrespected every man and woman who wears a uniform regardless of their political slant. The fact that only 15 Republicans agreed to meet with Sicknick's mother is disgusting, another profound act of disrespect.
