Poll shows Nina Turner leads Democratic party in race for Ohio's 11th Congressional District

with support from 50% of likely voters

Turner is leading the Democratic contenders who are vying to fill former Rep. Marcia Fudge’s seat in Congress, according to a new poll. Turner’s campaign highlighted results of the poll Tuesday morning, which was conducted by Tulchin Research. You can explore the poll in the document at the bottom of this story.

“Notably, the poll shows Nina Turner with a sizable lead with support from 50% of likely voters,” her campaign said in a press release. “Across every demographic, Turner is the favorite to serve as OH-11’s next Congressperson.”

Since launching her campaign in December, Turner has also received numerous endorsements – including support from various politicians, organizations and celebrities.

Stein. Fact is she was not mentioned by me or other people talking about the OP. IMHO anyone who gets hurt feelings over how anyone else votes has a problem. People can also have unfavotable opinions of politicians and are allowed to voice them. Freedom of speech and all that. Do I think she should have said what she did about Joe? No I think she should have kept her mouth shut, but it didn't hurt my feelings a bit. I vote based on MY opinion of a politician, not what someon says about them. YMOV.

U.S. congressional candidate Nina Turner now endorsed by every Democratic state senator from Cuyahoga County

"I support Nina Turner in her run for the 11th Congressional district because she will fight for racial, economic and reproductive justice, fairness and equality for all of the people," Antonio said in a statement. "Ohio needs her progressive voice in Washington and I am proud to endorse her."

"During the fight against SB 5, Senator Turner and I battled in the trenches with our Democratic colleagues and our union brothers and sisters to protect the rights of working Ohioans," Yuko said. "I have seen firsthand her passion and her dedication to the people she represents. I know she will do us proud as a member of the United States Congress."

Added Williams: “I have known Senator Turner personally and professionally. I know her character and her heart. She is an unrelenting advocate who has represented the Greater Cleveland area well. She has fought for justice at the local and national level, never forgetting her humble beginnings or her responsibility to the people of Cuyahoga County. I know our community will be well served with her in Congress.”

In a statement, Turner thanked Antonio and Cuyahoga County’s entire Democratic Senate Delegation for its support.

Also, it depends how many of those sing digit candidates realize they don’t have a chance, along with 21% who are undecided

No doubt this is good news for Turner, but I am reminded what happened before the South Carolina primary. Everyone had written Biden off, and then the South Carolina primary happened, and candidates dropped out, and unified behind one candidate, which made the very real chance for a contested primary zero.

This isn’t a national election, but one district in Ohio, so things are different, but it follows a pattern what happens when you have too many candidates in a race.

Trump got in the republican primary in 2016, because there were too many candidates in their primary, and they effectively eliminated each other, and trump had the larger base

Unless some of the single digit candidates drop out, this is Turner’s race to lose

There's no evidence in the biographies of their five named staff that any are actual polling professionals, though Ben Tulchin claims experience with some polling companies. What that experience entailed is anyone's guess.

And, speaking of guesses, there's no need to make one here, courtesy of his own biography:

He most recently served as Bernie Sanders’s pollster in the U.S. Senator’s presidential campaign where Sanders far exceeded expectations by winning 13 million votes, 23 contests and 46% of the pledged delegates.

BTW, no crosstabs for this poll, conducted via landlines, cell phones, emails and texts, but we do know that the MOE is 4%.

I'll venture that this "poll" was commissioned by the Turner campaign.
