The cut of this one is a little too boxy for my own taste, but otherwise it's a nice jacket.

She's pretty charismatic. Tiny in person!

(20,591 posts)It's so nice to have someone in our government who has such a joy of life, who's not afraid to have fun along with all the seriousness of their position.
She'll make a wonderful President of the United States someday. Yes. She. Will.
I hope I live long enough to see her as President.

(20,591 posts)I'm at 72 now, and some mornings I don't think I'll be able to see the sunset. The mind is still there, but my body is giving me the finger. Hey, it is what it is. Just keep hoping and looking forward. Always forward.

(17,622 posts)Turning 72 in July. I'm in really good physical shape and have excellent health except for my eyesight is not great. But I'm a realist and I think that no one gets out of this aging process without a general downward trend, so you never know when the next day may bring a bad diagnosis. I've already seen too many of my family and friends, neighbors die plus all the icons of our glory days are slipping away.
I've been a feminist all my adult life. I so wanted Hillary to be President because she deserved it. Now I'm hoping that if Joe's around and wins a second term he'll pass the torch to Kamala.
I do try to work on looking towards the future but it's really easy and comforting sometimes to wallow in nostalgia for awhile. One of my sisters and I have a tradition of calling each other and reminiscing and we get some real laughs in about our childhood years. It's harmless fun for us.

(20,591 posts)My daughter and I went to vote that morning, then we took our "I Voted Today" stickers to Susan B. Anthony's gravesite in Mount Hope Cemetery. We both live just outside of Rochester, NY. There was a line a quarter mile long of people waiting to do the same thing. We waited though, and we were both so happy that day.
The rest, as you're well aware, is history. From joy and jubilation, to crushing despair in 24 hours. Now, times like those I can do without remembering. But yeah, I do my share of reminiscing as well. We certainly did live in interesting times. But the future's ahead, and that's what I'm aiming for, however many more laps around the sun I have coming.
Take care.

(20,591 posts)1.) She's a woman
2.) She's a woman of color.
Look at the way Malaria dressed. Look at her soft-porn photo shoots. THAT didn't bother them. But a black woman.....wearing....... it doesn't matter, because they can't get past those first two things.

(20,591 posts)would have absolutely no problem saying that in public. They've abandoned every claim they ever had for honesty, honor, dignity, decorum, taste and tact. They are truly vile, despicable creatures.
But that's only this man's opinion.

If you watch what they do, they're screaming all of that at the top of their lungs. Does that make any sense?

(2,809 posts)One tastelessly graffitied jacket expressing hate, racism, and intolerance devoid of empathy.
The other expressing "all are welcome, all are valued. "
We traded up, way up, back in November.
Makes me cringe thinking of those who would want the orange fuehrer and his venomous cohort back.
