A rather embarassing admission on my part: I never really learned how to ride a bike. Growing up, the roads around my house were always a little too treacherous for bike riding. My parents sometimes took me to parks with a bike but I never really got beyond the training wheel stage and eventually the window for learning passed me by. Yes, I know I could have always learned later on, but somehow the idea of being an adult learning to ride a bike just felt...weird to me. I dunno.
(But in all seriousness, good on them!)

(41,637 posts)5. Bike-riding is just knowing how to maintain your balance
If you can ski, ice skate, or ride a skateboard, it's all pretty much the same skill. Knowing how to balance yourself, how to compensate by leaning left when you feel your bike going right, etc.
I'll bet if you tried riding a bike, you'll find out it's not hard at all.

that they got caught in the chain.
Even since he's stuck with golf carts.
