Why does everyone automatically trust the polls?

With today's world made up of Koch funded BS organizations. Corporate funded 'research', the media lying to us everyday....

why do people trust the polls?

The lied about Romney winning, lied about Ryan winning and now say the polls match to prove it.

How do we know they aren't making those numbers up as well?

because they saw on the TV that these people are just complaining about nothing....

when actually millions of Americans poured into the streets because they stole the election for Romney.

No matter how obvious it is, to everyone on the net and it's reaches...there will still be millions of Americans that believe whatever the corporate media tells them and they are dangerous to all of us.

should have been done in the states over the past 12/8/4 years, and since states taken over by repugs, not likely anything truly productive would be done.

Don't know the good of exit polls, except to give us fodder for the next march to prove they've stolen again.

And YES, I'm prepared to march, but not on TV stations. IF they and TPTB lie and say rmoney won, I'll march elsewhere, like in DC, with We the People, I hope. And then I'll move to Canada.

Polls are B.S. IMO. What you are seeing is a skewed bunch of crap that is meaningless.

What matters is one thing and that is how many people vote and who they vote for.

I have not been polled and never have been polled so I do not count.

That is why my user name here is and always will be CountAllVotes !!!

Years ago psychologist identified "The Bandwagon Effect" which basically means people like to go with the winner, so if polls show a front runner, people will vote for the front runner. Yes, we have an electorate stupid enough to do just that. It was the Band Wagon Effect on West Coast voting that caused the broadcasters to stop declaring winners in the East Coast states before polls in the Midwest and on the West Coast had closed.

You have actually heard voters charmed by Romney?

Or is this just the media narrative?

All the stations lie, even Rachel and Ed attacked Obama instead of the multitude of lies spewed by Romney last time...

All the polls could lie as well.

They have gotten away with creating reality so long, they have become empowered.

Why would they stop when they are getting everything they want?

Karl Rove:
"We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors…and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."

Do you think the media is serving the public interest?

You need only look back before the Iraq war and the lies they were propping up to support that mass murder.

They pushed the idea that Iraq was seeking yellowcake, long after it had be debunked, just as Bush kept using the claim.

The Bush Administration still had Colin Powell present their 'evidence' to the UN who laughed at US!

They used google and discovered it was a forgery in 5 minutes.

The criminals who created the forgery did not even use the right names or letterhead.

Why did these criminals assume the media would not catch them on such an overt forgery?

Because the criminals control the media. None of this is possible without them working together.

And they count on the American public being really fucking stupid and actually believing that they are not allowed to overtly lie on the TV.

PPP, gallup, pew, quinnipiac, or some of the other well known names. I mean pulse, rasmussen, we ask america, etc. I barely saw any of these taken into account before the first debate now they're putting out one a day. Now the question is is this because we're getting close to election day or are these corporate fat cats trying to shape the narrative? I don't believe 1 debate could change things that much it's just words against a president with a long proven track record. The media is clearly in the tank for romney too.

in which case they are a vindication of his policies and strategies.

When they show Obama behind, however, they are misleading, distorted, an "outliar", use a skewed sample, are Republican-owned, oversample conservatives, undersample liberals, screw the polls anyway, and there is only one poll that counts, the one in November.
