On my tiny back patio and front stoop and sidewalk to avoid slipping on them. Cant wait for them to be gone. I thought they were supposed to last only a few weeks, but they are still going strong after nearly a month.

I'm in California so it hasn't been an issue here.

DC has lots of old trees.

The broods come out at different times on 13 or 17 year cycles. They come out in huge numbers to overwhelm potential predators.

Go outside and the constant roar is deafening. Drove to Dunkin yesterday, and the cicadas over there were roaring in an undulating rythm (like Bolero). Weird! At least it was a break from the constant roar.
