So did Louie Gohmert really ask the Forest Service to change the moon's orbit? (Original Post) Botany Jun 2021 OP

Any reason @ all to go there? Botany Jun 2021 #6
Someone should tell him that Trump hung the moon, so he is the only one who can change its orbit. milestogo Jun 2021 #3

He was baiting her in his own screwed up way. His uneducated reply would be that he agrees and that the forest service can’t do anything to combat climate change by changing natural orbital cycles or any other natural cycle. Her answer undercut this and made him look like an idiot (not that any help is needed).

Gomert is a variety of denier who hangs his hat on the “it’s all natural and we can’t do anything about it” argument.

That argument is completely full of shit, but the MSM misses that point and focuses on the “Louie Gomert thinks the USFS can change earth’s orbit” angle.

Which is not true. It was misguided sarcasm and a way to lie about the issue. But it gives the denier industry the ability to complain that the MSM is reporting inaccurately. Which they are busy doing right now.

The changing the moon or earth's orbit was one thing but asking if the Forest Service could do it was too bizarre for even he to be serious about it. He was fishing for a response and didn't get what he wanted.

His argument will be that climate change is an orbital problem not a greenhouse gas problem. So then he starts talking about something as preposterous as changing earth's orbit instead of talking about decreasing our dependance on fossil fuels.

In 2022 and 2024 all the dumb kids will be talking like a bad science fiction novel.
