2) Trespassers .. lower level criminal conduct

that the persons that breached the Capitol Building are not the only ones under investigation, i.e. politicians, etc.

fire extinguishers, fists, etc. at the capital? Surely not low-level criminal conduct. Put these papaw-looking MFer's away for at least 10 years. And those that attacked Capital Police should be a Capital Crime.

You can't do what they did and walk away from it. You can't do it at your local Post Office or police station. You can't attack retailers.

Yes, I want to believe in a merciful, forgiving government, but AFTER they throw the book at them.

5. Sorry, that "crowd" was only able to get in the buiding

through violence. Whether or not an individual participated in breaking windows or assaulting cops, or they were just along for the ride, they all share responsibility in it. And every single one of them was involved in an attack on democracy. Lock them up and throw away the key.

7. what about the fourth group?

the elected officials in the Senate and House, Political Appointee's at the Justice Dept, and the Pentagon. Some serious heavy hitters providing transportation, hotel rooms, and god knows what else to the second and third group. They may not have 'brought weapons' but they sure provided the means for anything and everything needed for a good old insurrection.
