What recent accomplishments have U made recently advancing progressive principles in your area?

Occasionally I read a post where a complaint is made that Dems in Washington aren't getting things done and I was wondering if those DUers who are very active working on progressive causes at the local level are running into the same problems.

I believe there are some DUers who are very active and I also believe there are many who, like me, aren't. In the past, I've made phone calls and wrote emails to my local state reps and state senator on gun control but I haven't done anything for awhile.

1. Not perfect but a positive.

A group I work with successfully led the effort to give officers an additional option when they come across someone with certain levels of mj. It was something officers had to arrest for. Now they can issue a fine and no arrest.

I get it. Small potato’s. We had to move mountains to get it done even though we had the backing of the police depts from the beginning.

2. I wouldn't consider it just small potatoes. You and others worked hard and made a difference
