They came to his apartment and he was not home. Left a card to call them. They returned that evening. His tweets on the topic were hilarious though he was nervous.

He changes his handle regularly. Always starts with “I smoked….” For a long time it was “I smoked Donald Trumps taxes.” If I remember correctly he removed the word “taxes” and someone flagged him to the secret service. The guy is on a lot of Twitter right wing lists where they monitor him.

He said the secret service understood it wasn’t serious but that they will always make a stop if you say you are going to smoke the President.

Related to the attack in Lafayette Square.

I answered your question. Its in the article. The DOJ defended Barr and Trump in court asking a judge to dismiss civil lawsuits related to the attack.

Given that current position I don't see any possibility they would seek criminal liability against Barr or trump. I could be wrong but so far this administration has shown no desire to explore that possibility and has actually given indications it has little desire to hold trump and his cronies accountable.

about investigating ALL the corruption and criminal behavior that has gone on by the Republican Party, The Republican's in the Senate, The Trump administration and cabinet, etc etc.

It seems to me that if they all were investigated and charges brought against them for their last five plus years of DAILY corruption, it would literally take an Army of investigators, lawyers and courts. Thousands more in the IRS, Thousands more in our Intelligence gathering individuals, Thousands more Lawyers, Thousands more Accountants, and a ton of courts.

The amount and breadth of the corruption done by Trump and Republicans is nearly unfathomable, and that is with just what we know. AND, who knows what THOSE investigations would lead to uncovering that we don't know.....

The crowning blow would be that a criminal Jury would need to be Unanimous in finding someone guilty, and where would you find a jury without at least one Trumphumper. Even if they did, it would be appealed to an appellate court, probably one with a Trump appointed Judge, and at least one Trumphumper on that Jury.

We let the corrupted 1980 Reagan election slide, the 2000 Gore/Bush election slide, we let the 2004 Kerry/Bush election slide, and we let the Hillary/Trump election slide, and here we are today......................................

And that is just at the Federal Level, then there are also all the Red states governments and their politicians.......

Just trying to stand back and be realistic.................

1960s.

And when I dare to face the truth, and admit it, the assassinations of RFK, MalcomX, James Meredith, Medgar Evers, MLK, RFK, are behind this and you forgot the criminal 1980 treason to gain office in 1968 via stopping the release of the Iran held American hostages.

I'm not going to claim Republican politicians planned these and many other murders, I am claiming that the individuals who provide the financial support to Republicans, probably were/are.

1968 Nixon election where the Vietnam Peace talks were stopped, followed by Nixon bombing Cambodia, Thailand, Laos.

To me the financial and sometimes government people supporting the Republicans have been a very real shadow government since Nixo lost that 1960 election and claimed the Kenned's stole it. Never presented any evidence, just their constant claims.

It will take years and years to sort out and clean up. Garland is a consummate professional who takes his duty to all Americans seriously and clearly avoids even a whiff of partisanship. For those of us eager for true accountability for the openly corrupt former guy, the wait can be excruciating. The drastic change from the openly partisan and bombastic style of the previous administration to one of quiet, yet unrelenting competence may appear as doing nothing, and giving the former guy's many crimes a pass. Garland's hands are more than full and I have every confidence in his leadership. We shall see.

suspect that in a lot of cases encouraging them to want to move on may be more effective than building provable cases for firing. Getting the right, hard-nosed people in charge is always the big thing for making real, meaningful change. Requiring working to previous ethical standards will be welcomed by most, and gone along with readily by most others allowed to remain. Real world reality, especially in a shades of gray world and one where civil service protections, pensions and other vested benefits are involved.
