Joy Reid has Jason Johnson and another guest on and they were saying the Democrats should not

compromise with the republicans, and just pass the original package, including the green new deal and the other things the republicans won’t accept

In theory that sounds good, but I wish someone would explain to me if we don’t have Manchin aboard, how will that be done?

Isn’t that the reality? The only way we will get things done is if Manchin approves it?

We can complain about it until the cows come home, but the only way to change this is 2022

The majority of WV votes favor the these moves forward. Make him say no.

At the same time, work like hell to not be dependent on his seat in 2022.

(Justice Democrats' green new deal?) but about pushing the subversion that Democrats are weak, inept, corrupt and little better than Republicans.

We were awash in this stuff from the same people in 2015-2016 when all polls said we were going to sweep the nation in the elections.

And with the Biden aministration in place and "majorities" in congress, it's all over this forum again now.

Obviously, we're doing something scary right.

even if they know the votes aren't enough to win; publicity and record votes count in the long run to influence people.

To many lost votes can give the impression Democrats are weak.

There's a reason Speaker Pelosi never calls a vote on a bill until she knows it will pass.

Wasn't there a lot of arm twisting and "if you give me this vote, I'll give you that" type of negotiations going on?

And he still had to twist arms. Schumer has 50 and some weak ones among the 50
