Biden Refuses Joint Press Conference with Putin: White House

In a crowded field, the low point of Donald Trump’s international diplomacy during four years as president may have come in Helsinki when he nodded along throughout a bizarre joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. President Joe Biden won’t have the opportunity to side with the Russian autocrat against his own Justice Department and intelligence services at next week’s summit after the White House announced that there would be no twin podium moment. “A solo press conference is the appropriate format to clearly communicate with the free press the topics that were raised in the meeting,” said a White House official on Saturday.

Putin was kind of an outlier, for the reason you stated, but generally speaking, there was much more equity among them then than now.

.

Most corporate owned stations will sell their brand, except when a delivery shortage.

Most private-owned gas stations, or private-owned brand name gas stations have a minimum monthly quote, after they reach that limit, they are open to buy gas from any shitty brand-x supplier. That's their way of making extra profit on a small-margin product. So, those large brand named stations might be selling your Russian gas.

Makes the US a more dominant player on the world stage. Makes Russia a pariah regime that it is.

Biden will let the rest of the world know Russia has been put on notice for its dirty tricks in allowing hackers safe harbor, the attempted murder of political rivals, occupation of parts of Ukraine, and their overall intentions to disrupt NATO. All with that Irish smile of his.

For Putin does not take humiliation very well.

Name another president with almost 50 years of experience at the highest level of national government - important junior Senator, VP.

There have been governors, Senators, senior government officials, even an occasional former Congressman, of shorter duration. I'd bet Biden has the biggest top level national and global network in a president ever. We're frustrated there isn't instant progress, but that mind is working on everything.

When there is no valid complaints, they will go after clothes, food choices, mannerisms, and even the dogs. These are silly, superficial creatures, lacking in intellect, principles, or substance. The "Na, na, boo, boo" and "I'm rubber, you're glue" wing of American politics. If they can't be as good as their opponent, they will tear him or her down.

Tan suits and mustard? That was best they could come up with? There was also some crap about him bowing to a foreign leader. They remind me of the petty neighborhood gossip, the one who always has something negative to say about other people. Ridiculous absurd stuff of no consequence at all and often not even true. The motivation is usually jealousy and a need for attention.

I think it is important that we keep discussing his presidency, to make sure we keep the outrageous stories alive. After GW left the White House, his image gradually became less offensive. It was even worse with Reagan. Republicans turned him into a damn saint. We can't let that ever happen with Trump.

how to behave with any grace or simple good manners, I doubt that he will be able to "rehabilitate" his image as other "former guys" seem to have. Reagan, W. Bush, etc. never displayed the sheer MEANESS that is so much a part of Trump (although Dubya could be pretty thoughtless, as in making fun of a death row inmate). Donald used to complain about not being accepted by New York society, seeming not to realize that nobody else who WAS accepted behaved with the utter boorishness he displayed on a daily basis.

If the horrible memories of Trump start to fade, he is right there to remind us that yes, he was every bit as bad as we thought, maybe even worse. I agree about Bush. He could be thoughtless and extremely incompetent, but for the most part, he wasn't inherently mean. Trump wears his meanness and cruelty like a badge of honor. For him it apparently is synonymous with strength, something he is really hung up on.

Sat Jun 12, 2021, 04:31 PM
Jun 2021

It is that a majority...of the Elector College voters counted.....will NOT be rehabilitated. And in fact, be forever changed to now accept a foul mouthed liar, a cheater, a sexual deviant, a narcissist as their leader...if that is the only way to win. Trump has done something that no other Republican leader has done, broken the shit encrusted glass ceiling.

For seemingly forever, at least since the sixties, the Democrats were the unGodly heathens who swore, engaged in the "sexual revolution", which included among other things, cheating on spouses, wife swapping and other free love beliefs. Didn't believe in Law and Order and protested violently.

While the Republicans were the believers in God. And Family (the only true configuration). And good money management. They never took the Lord's name in vain, never used bad language or ugly insults. Didn't lie.......publicly. Lie with an air of entitlement to the point of blatancy, and arrogance of "so what? what are you going to do?"

No, the real danger is the flip side of that. The GQP are now conditioned to fight even dirtier than ever. And their supporters are clearly on board with that.
