As Britain enjoyed its warmest day of the year so far on bank holiday Monday, a few Londoners were spotted taking a dip in what is thought to be the world's first 'sky pool'.
The transparent pool, which is suspended between two high-rise residential buildings, is located next to the US embassy in Nine Elms, south London. Currently it is only open to those living in the exclusive blocks

(58,785 posts)absolutely! Wow!
Some years ago out of nowhere I developed a crippling phobia of FALLING, which for instance stopped me maybe a quarter way up Mexico's Chichen Itza. Those things are STEEP, had to crawl down backwards from where I gave up while others climbed past and one even ran down. But when I can trust infrastructure to keep me from falling, I love heights. And I'd love to trust it long enough to enjoy.

(58,785 posts)but no one had to do that when I was there. They closed the steps I think not too long after. I'd wanted to see the world as people then saw it from the top, beyond clearings in the jungle, though few would have been privileged to, and some not twice.
