(7,715 posts)His anti-vaccine status is immature at best, and dangerous at most. And it's not that he was quiet about it either.
The Fédération Française de Tennis should have required all players to get the vaccine as a condition of playing.
ABD = anybody but Djokovic

(39,699 posts)I'm also pleasantly surprised that when I turned it on at 9:00 am, I wasn't watching a match that started at 8:00 am, like I did last weekend.
Oh... I'll bet they'll screw me yet. They'll probably end coverage French Open coverage to switch to some NASCAR race that starts at 10:30 am.

(39,699 posts)Yesterday I was watching the Bass Masters and was really enjoying it.
I heard them say that there was about 3 hours of fishing left in the day... and about 15 minutes later, they switched coverage to a baseball game. (I'd watch a baseball game if my team is playing--not the case.)
When you don't have cable, and don't It's tough to get the sports you like (unless it's NCAA basketball, golf and NASCAR).
malaise
(297,899 posts)and that's true even on cable

Cracklin Charlie
(12,904 posts)He seemed to be having trouble reaching up from the start. He hit a tragically weak overhead in about the third game, downhill ever since.
Abdominal oblique issue, maybe.
Tsitsipas was my pick from the start. I usually dont pick right.
malaise
(297,899 posts)Tsitsipas is playing really well here. He needs to win this game
Cracklin Charlie
(12,904 posts)Hes injured, but doesnt want to default a final. Hell just hang in there, hoping Tsitsipas has a slump in his game.

(14,794 posts)and I'm no fan of Djoker, but his play today has been....well, calling it desultory would be kind.

tishaLA
(14,794 posts)to Tsitsipas, but he's still not playing very crisply. I kinda feel like his back pain is at least partly psychological as the weight of the moment got to him.

I don't like Djoka but he's a great player.
#19 - comes back from 0-2 to win.
tishaLA
(14,794 posts)but not IMO as great as Roger was at his peak.
I felt so bad for Stafanos when he went up to get the runner up trophy....it looked like he wanted to cry.
Side note: it's great to see Borg there! I saw an interview with him earlier this week in which he called Rafa the greatest clay court player of all time, which was quite something coming from someone who'd been called the greatest clay court player of all time back in his day.
