I have never believed that Trump had the mental capacity to formulate the plans that his administration proposed. He is too simple-minded and lazy. He was, and remains, a tool of those who have used him to gain and maintain power. My guess is Steven Miller, with the helpful advice of Roger Stone and others, ie Sean Hannity, were behind the insurrection.

(21,333 posts)and a friend of Bannon's and Alex Jones', a former hostage negotiator, someone who is adept at mind control. I followed him on You Tube from way back. One of his first videos back when MF45 was running in 2016 was one that claimed that Hillary was running a coup to get elected so Trump needed to run a counter-coup. He is a very smart person regarding mind control. Dr. Steve Piecznick. I'm sure I spelled his name wrong. I haven't been to his sites lately, I will have to check them out again. He definitely is under the radar.

(17,984 posts)Now that enough safe guards were put into our election system both Putin, State officials and billionaires are adding to our problems..
Now that failed Putin is now concentrating on hacking our systems. While State officials try to destroy our election system. Barr is no longer able to fix things.
They are all to blame.

(1,261 posts)He does appear to have a natural instinct for working the angles and finding the weaknesses in people, even organizations morally and ethically. I don't think he's stupid, more ignorant and mentally lazy but he knows how to get people to do things he wants, more talented and driven people and they often think he's useful (or a useful idiot) for their purposes.
I think Bannon filled this role for quite some time, along with Steven Miller, perhaps Flynn. And, of course Putin. But the racism, sexism and other vile traits are Trumps and he's down wilth all the 'good ideas' and likely comes up with some of them himself, at least the basics.

(21,333 posts)Pieczenik's latest videos;
1 video bashes president Biden for his opposition to the coup in Myanmar. Pieczenik offers up reasons why the coup was a good thing.
The 2nd video bashes president Biden for calling Putin a killer. Pieczenik claims he was instrumental in getting Putin installed as the prime minister of Russia. He went on to praise Putin especially for his taking of Crimea. He claims that Russia will retaliate for president Biden calling him a killer and that Putin will take over Ukraine if he wants to.
The comments on the videos posted by his followers are scary.
I believe this guy's talking points are much of the same talking points used by MF45.

(10,172 posts)He didn't care how it was done, what laws were broken or who he might be putting in legal jeopardy. Getting his way was the only thing that mattered. He surrounded himself with people eager to do his bidding so there are probably many culprits, and it will take prosecutors years to figure it all out. Trying to figure out who put the ideas into Trump's lizard brain will be more difficult. Putin? Bannon? Hannity? Miller? Likely all of them.

(10,624 posts)opposed to conservative dogma, often self-defeating, and, above all, not informed by any scholarly underpinnings. Trump himself was more than mentally capable of directing such "plans", but I think the true mastermind was always "the base".
